CMC was created in 2024 by Albus Xiao, a high school junior from Los Altos High, CA. Albus is a classically trained pianist, with over 10 years over experience. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, a tech and innovation hub, Albus noticed a lack of artistic scenes, especially classical music performance and appreciation. As a classical music enthusiast, he wanted to make it more accessible and started the CMC and this website to share fun facts about classical music and to update information on performances throughout the Bay in hopes of encouraging people, the youth, to get to know more about classical music.
